The Comité permanent sur la sécurité des bateaux de pêche du Québec is an organization working with the professional fisher in the maritime regions of Quebec since 2005.

 

In 2016, it officially became a non-profit organization dedicated to the fishing safety in Quebec.

 

For more than 15 years, the CPSBPQ encourage collaboration between all stakeholders of the maritime regions to reduce and eliminate shortcomings and failures in the safety of the commercial fisheries.

 

Among its activities and since its creation, the CPSBPQ promote exchange between the various stakeholders of the commercial fishing industry through the organization of an annual meeting. Collaboration between federal, provincial, hybrid and industry instances is put at the service of the commercial fisheries safety and enable the coordination of efforts to put in place strategies adapted to the issues.

The CPSBPQ is the single interdepartmental collaborative forum allowing the consultation between all stakeholders having responsibilities or interest relating to the commercial fishing industry of Quebec.
